Historic houses and gardens

Kentwell Hall, Suffolk
England is famous for its many grand historic houses and glorious gardens. Here in the east of England we are within easy distance of many fine houses, such as nearby Anglesey Abbey, Kentwell Hall in Suffolk, Felbrigg Hall in Norfolk, and Audley End House in Essex. And you may like to take a tour of the Royal gardens at Sandringham, and Cambridge University Botanic Garden.
In London, the world - famous Kew Gardens are a fascinating day out.
Your English tuition will be planned around excursions to these and other similar places of interest

Kew Gardens, London
English and Creative Study Holiday
If you're an art student, a professional artist or an interested beginner you could combine English lessons with practical workshops. The course will include visits to art galleries and museums in London and Cambridge.
Rosalind Lyons is a professional artist and will direct practical classes as well as conduct guided tours of famous art collections at galleries such as Cambridge's Fitzwilliam Museum and Kettle's Yard, and the Tate and National galleries in London.

Discover Shakespeare

William Shakespeare is probably the most famous writer in the world and responsible for creating many words and phrases used in the modern English language. As well as English lessons, see Shakespeare's plays at the famous Globe Theatre in London and an outdoor performance in one of Cambridge University's college gardens. You can also visit his birthplace and the Royal Shakespeare Company's theatre in Stratford-upon Avon.

Study holiday with rowing
Cambridge is famous for many things, one of which is rowing. We have teamed up with the wonderful Cambridge Rowing Experience based at the Cambridge City Rowing Club to offer a special Study Holiday which includes four afternoon rowing sessions, taught by experienced and qualified instructors.
This one-week course includes:
4 specialist rowing tuition sessions with experienced and qualified staff at Cambridge Rowing Experience:
· Rowing taster session at Downing College boathouse
· Water session
· Land and indoor tank session
at Downing College boathouse
· Water session, including a short side-by-side race
