About us
Waterside, Ely
Our
School
Small is beautiful!
There are of course several English Language schools in the nearby city of Cambridge, but many are large organisations, often hosting hundreds of international students. We limit numbers to no more than 30 students at any one time, ensuring a very personal and individually-tailored educational and cultural experience.
Where
we are
Ely is a small, safe city
and students are accommodated with one of our carefully selected homestay hosts where they will gain a unique experience of English family life. This provides the ideal opportunity for practising English in a welcoming domestic setting, learning about English culture and making new friends.
Student welfare is of paramount importance to us, and we will be available to students at all times throughout their stay to deal with any problems or questions. See our Student Welfare page for more details on this.
Who we are
The school is run by sisters Rosalind and Siobhan Lyons.
Siobhan has an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL and has taught English for several years in the UK, and previously in a number of schools in Italy where she lived for 20 years.
Rosalind is a professional artist and has extensive experience as a lecturer in Further and Higher Education. She has BA and MA degrees in Fine Art and a PhD by Creative Practice, and will be particularly involved in organising cultural activities, and responsible for student welfare.

All our language teachers are CELTA or Cert TESOL qualified.
