Feedback from homestay hosts

'We have just completed two weeks as a hosting family for Lyons Languages. From our first contact with Siobhan and Rosalind, we have been impressed with their careful planning, attention to detail, ability to manage any problems, and their own teaching and people skills. Although we understood that this was their first time managing an Italian group, they organised a varied programme that balanced the interests of the students with the need to provide English lessons and activities.

Language classes, trips to London and local places of interest, sporting activities were organised and successfully held. This all ensured that our two students aged 13 and 14 were clear about what was expected of them, and made our role as hosts so much easier. Their English improved during the time they spent with Lyons. They both appreciated the experience, and this was also confirmed in e-mail contact with their parents. The success and enjoyment of the whole group was obvious on the final afternoon, when the students’ filmed performance in a well know play was presented to all the host families.

We are very pleased to recommend Lyons Languages, and wish them well as their work develops.'
